Make the Most of Your Home Buying Experience
Buying a new home, selling the home you have lived in and loved for years, or both, should be a positive, exciting and ultimately rewarding (maybe even fun) experience, whether this is your first time, or your tenth.
Put Your Trust in a Highly Qualified Agent
Buying or selling a home is serious business, which is why you should always work with an Agent in whom you have the utmost confidence and trust to represent your best interests above all else. Work with an Agent who has the highest level of knowledge, skill and professionalism, and be sure you can count on that Agent to guide you through each step of the process from beginning to end, and beyond.
Keeping You Fully Informed is Critical
Have you ever heard a friend or family member complain that they could never get their Agent on the phone, or that there were “surprises” at the closing table? My commitment to each of my clients is to do what I say, which means I will consistently meet or exceed your expectations. I also believe that my job is to educate my clients about the process of buying and selling, and to explain each step in advance. You hire an Agent for her expertise, but you should always be knowledgeable about what happens, and why, throughout the process.
Knowledge and Expertise You Can Trust
As an 18-year resident of the Durham area, I have a deep understanding of the dynamics of this region – the neighborhoods, school districts, historic and cultural attractions, and the area’s transportation network.
But local knowledge alone is not the only reason you should consider hiring me to be your Buyer’s Agent. You want an Agent who:
- knows the real estate market and can guide you to the homes that will provide the best value for your dollar, constantly keeping your priorities in mind;
- is responsive, available, and flexible enough to accommodate your schedule whenever possible;
- takes time to dig deep and truly understand your needs and aspirations as it concerns your new home;
- is a strong negotiator for you, and
- takes care of the details so you don’t have to.
The Clear Advantages of Working with a Buyer’s Agent
Prior to the early-2000s, all real estate agents worked on behalf of sellers. Until that time, buyers had no professional agent representing their best interests in negotiating the terms and conditions of the contract to purchase a home, or deal with the myriad issues that invariably pop up between contract and closing.
This created a significant disadvantage for Buyers. Fifteen years ago, North Carolina laws were changed to create a level playing field for buyers and sellers alike. Today, buyers may now choose to retain an Agent whose sole responsibility is to represent the interests of the buyer. Realtors who work with clients in this capacity are referred to as Buyer’s Agents. As your Buyer’s Agent, my top priority will be to exclusively represent you and your interests in the purchase of your home.
